Fórum Eugénio de Almeida is a space designed for the promotion of artistic and cultural actions guided by social responsibility and sustainable practices, committed to a multidisciplinary, instructive and inclusive programme in the form of exhibitions, with a particular focus on contemporary art, and the organisation of performance projects and educational programmes geared to raising awareness and increasing the motivation of their target audiences.

Fórum Eugénio de Almeida is laid out on two levels and includes 1,200 m2 of temporary exhibition areas and two specialised areas: the Rostrum room, intended for the latest trends and experimental projects, and the Atrium space. The Fórum also has an auditorium, multipurpose rooms, a meeting and conference centre, leisure areas (restaurant, coffee shop and wine bar) and a shop. The outdoor area includes Páteo de Honra courtyard, the North Garden and the Casas Pintadas Garden - courtyard, garden and vegetable garden -, classified as a Building of Public Interest in 1950 and including a unique series of 16th-century murals.
The whole complex has a total area of more than 3,000 m2 (2,382 m2 for the Palace of the Inquisition and Casas Pintadas and 811 m2 for the Multipurpose Rooms and Auditorium).

Fórum Eugénio de Almeida is one of the properties belonging to the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation that have been renovated under a partnership for urban regeneration and comprises the Palace of the Inquisition, Casas Pintadas and the original Fórum Eugénio de Almeida building.
